We bury so much of ourselves, so often. So it seems contrary that when your barriers are down, and you have nothing to hide behind, that you would feel so
invincible. But you do, because there is no one to judge, to fail, to impress -- you are stripped down to the bare being, and in this state, you are freed from the weight of your heavy armor. And sometime during the shoot, you realize something: That
vulnerability is your strength. That your choice to capture your essence is empowering. That you are worthy as you are, messy hair and all.
This...this is the moment you realize you are loved
A photoshoot with Michelle is nothing like any other photoshoot. She doesn’t just pose you, put you in the awkward positions and then instruct you to smile…no, she creates beautiful moments by making you feel relaxed and remind you why you fell in love with your spouse. The moments she captures are genuine and beautiful because they are raw and real. She creates an atmosphere of love and allows the deep parts of relationship that others do not normally get to see to peek through and shine in a stunning image you get to keep forever!
Shooting with Michelle was such an awesome experience for my husband and me! Initially, we were nervous about it because we thought it was just going to be an awkward situation doing poses to get the perfect picture (like we had experienced in the passed other photographers) ... but we were TOTALLY wrong about that assumption thank goodness! The photo shoot was SO MUCH FUN! Michelle is such an amazing and easy-going person who created an environment that allowed my husband and I to be ourselves just goofing off and laughing the whole time!
The best part about the photo shoot was that it didn’t feel forced or awkward in any way. Michelle was able to capture beautiful photos of my husband and I because it was such a comfortable environment - talking joking and just talking about life and how it was about to change for us! Seeing the final images of our maternity shoot makes my heart skip a beat because she truly captured the essence of our relationship and the joy we were experiencing during that time in our lives as we were excitingly preparing to welcome our little girl to the world!
The definition of "Remnant" is: a remaining or a trace. That sums up what I love about photography. I love capturing authentic traces of people . A deep hearty laugh. Stunning, natural beauty that seeps out from inside. A real smile . Not the fake one you give when your mom asks you to "say cheese," but the deep smile that comes out when you are truly happy.
"a remaining or a trace"
I can't wait to capture the traces of who you really are and leave you with
